A new anarchist bookfair will be held in Vancouver at the end of June. An important part of this event will be the workshops, which show how and what to learn from an anarchist point of view and in a anti-authoritarian way. We send this call-out to invite you to participate to the organization of some of these learning experiences, to suggest some topics.

Some people proposed already to have a walk tour of Vancouver from an anarchist point of view, workshops about dance, radio, computer skills, self-defense, unschooling, native struggles and involvement of settlers in these struggles. If any of these topics, or another topic you find
relevant, is something you could talk about and be interested to share with a group, then feel free to contact us.

TABLES: If you wish to have a table for the event, whether it be to sell items, or to promote your group, please let us know by June 5, 2009 so that we may have time to add your group to our promotional material. Please keep in mind that since this is an Anarchist Bookfair

WORKSHOPS: If you wish to host a workshop, please let us know. We will be working to try to create as much space for as many workshops as possible, both indoors and outdoors. However, if you have specific requirements, please let us know ASAP so we may best accomodate.

VOLUNTEERS: If you wish to volunteer to help with the Vancouver Anarchist Bookfair, please contact info@vancouveranarchistbookfair.ca, or come to the next meeting at Spartacus Books (684 East Hastings).

We insist that you to take in consideration the necessity of the collective, inclusive and interactive aspects of workshops and that the workshops be anti-sexist, anti-racist, anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist--these things being essential parts of the anarchist
movement. You can write to the collective to send important information like your availability, your topics, your needs, and how you want to organize your workshop, table or event. You can also participate in many ways to prepare and create this event.

We also encourage everyone to come into town early and participate in the Friday Anarchist Gathering to discuss resisting the 2010 Games and Corporate Agenda. More information on this gathering can be found on our website.
